The ROJAK Engine is an interactive software prototype developed under the auspices of the Institute for Media Innovation. Rojak is a food common in Southeast Asia, similar to a fruit salad, that is eaten only after the ingredients have been mixed. This interactive software provides users with a simple food paradigm to configure interactively different versions of a film. Users of ROJAK can mix the movie ingredients by using food attributes such as spiciness, sweetness, and price of dish. The software serves a mix of scenes, shots and sounds based on the user's choices.
